In a decade or two, they may all be headlining the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival. But for now, a group of 14 aspiring young Island filmmakers will at least enjoy the opportunity to share their work with the Vineyard community and possibly a few of the seasoned filmmakers who will attend the festival to promote their own work.

Madhyamaka: The Middle Way with Lara Braitstein is at Bodhi Path at 21 Laurand Drive across from the airport in West Tisbury, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 to 4 p.m. Donations welcome. For details, call 508-696-5929.

Variety Show: No Two Days Are the Same in One Garden, presented by The Imperfect Show of Life is at 11:30 a.m. in the warehouse behind 56 Main street in Vineyard Haven, entrance in the back alley. Vineyard Conservation Society Winter Walk: A guided walk to the Christiantown fire tower in West Tisbury. Correllus State Forest superintendent John Varkonda will lead the walk to the 68-foot tall steel structure, in continuous operation since 1950, while discussing fire threats and the local impact of climate change. Audrey Hepburn Film Festival:
Audrey Hepburn Film Festival continues with a screening at 2 p.m. at the Vineyard Haven library. Free.

Vineyard Limerick Challenge is at 3 p.m. at the West Tisbury library. Come listen or present original limericks about Martha's Vineyard. For details, call 508-693-3366.

One Act Play Festival is at the Katharine Cornell Theatre in Vineyard Haven at 3 p.m. Presented by the Island Theatre Workshop. Cost is $15. For details, call 508-627-3166.

Opening Reception: Melanie Kraus, Hannah Marlin, Abby Entner and Seneca Craig — Exhibition of MVRHS Students of Janice Frame is from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Virginia Weston Besse Gallery at Featherstone in Oak Bluffs. Exhibit remains on display through March 12. For details, call 508-693-1850.
